Why A versus X bolt?
Note this is going to be a gun for new hunters to use and a gun that some of my clients will be shooting. So I am not wanting to spend a whole ton of money on a gun, that may be more the used and abused

Every one of the tikka's we have shoot light out! Everyone that I have been around that shoots one says the same things.
Carp I'm gonna use your luepold statment . Tikkas just plain shoot well and I have not seen one that dosn't . I think a tikka in .270 would be tough to beat for a back up gun ! why mess around ?
And if you get a Tikka in .270WSM it is even better.

I already have a couple tikka's that are personal guns and this is by no means a backup gun for me

You guys should know I am a gun Slu*. I have been very happy with the tikka's but got to looking at the browings the other day and liked them as well. It's more about what will fit a general group of shooters. Not looking for a gun for myself I have way to many of those already

Killbilly the 270wsm is one of my favorite cartridges! I already have 2! and am bidding on number 3 as I type. It is just to much gun for younger shooters in the lighter weight frame and also beginners as well. A bit to much recoil for a lot of my first time hunters.
