that really depends on time of year..winter thru mid feb I would want water under 3,000 after that I have had some great days fishing up to 8,000 cfs near the hatchery as the fish begin to stack up below hatchery and the fish just get closer to shore when it gets high.  This year and last year are much the same, we have had way to much water in Jan and Feb and caused all the fish to race up the river making what is usually prime time in March more of a fizzle
