Well I liked the look of the skull hookers so I made a purchase. I figured since there were questions about it, I would post my findings for others. It got here today, and when I opened it I was pleasantly surprised. The metal is much thicker than I expected. I had read an article by Eastmans where they put 100# on the big hooker before giving up, satisfied that it would hold a large species head. It was simple to install, and from start to finish took me 30 minutes (I had to adjust it like 10 times to satisfy my OCD)!! The only tools I used were; a small level (see previous parentheses), stud finder, and cordless drill. I have included pictures of it hanging in my living room as well as some close up shots to see how it sits on the wall with the head in place. The head is slightly wobbly, however with some small work on the brain cavity I was able to make a groove for the head to sit in to make it much more stable. Overall I would give this 2 thumbs up.
