My Mules
« on: March 19, 2012, 08:41:10 AM »
I’ve got three long ears, which don't work them enough. We've done some neat rides, hunts, and need to do some more. Active in the Traildusters chapter of BCHW and get out to work on trails some, just haven't rode much for a while. Well hopefully I'm done with surgeries and will be back in the saddle soon, litterally.
Here's the kids, Echo, Cheyenne, and Jack, and a few pics of them out and about.

Myself in the eastern Pasayten.

Goat Rocks area a few years back.

Doing a little packing training, this was her first day with a load. Now she carries me, a bit more of a load.

My son and I on a local Hunt in Snohomish Co.

My son on Gentleman Jack a few years-crap, I guess it was five years ago now. My son is no longer a light load and is riding our Appy mule.  If anyone needs a steady kid’s or grandkid’s mule, get in touch with me. Jack loves kids and will keep them safe anywhere you want to take them. He is not tall and this guy has been there and done it. He suffered a tendon injury about 7-8 years ago, but with extensive rehab has healed and is sound, but I will still not use or recommend him as a pack mule, only important light loads. Not for sale, but would love to place him in the right spot so he can do what he loves.

Jack carrying my son when he was only four-years old. Jack must be twenty something now, not sure.

Mules are my favorite ?horse?.  Love the long ears, but don't know squat about them except they look like my style.  Post more pics.

That was late July on a light snow year.

I was there, not riding, but at the checkpoint that was serving hot cider.

Cool!  Waiting for spring and summer!
And I think God must be a cowboy at heart
He made wide open spaces from the start
He made grass and trees and mountains and a horse to be a friend
And trails to lead ol' cowboys home again
