UNIT 578 muzzleloader late hunt

What do you think about the quality of this hunt . after the late buck rifle started do you think those tags have hurt the quality of this hunt.

I've hunted this unit since I picked up a gun, and I must say that the years I've been able to put forth a concerted effort I've always seen bucks.  I have seen two monster bucks in this unit (taken one) and many quality, but I haven't seen continuous heavy horns. 

I do think the late buck rifle season hurts the big guys quite a bit.  But you just have to get off the beaten path, and you should see some.

im gunna be up there for the first time this year during late muzzle
a friend gave me some spots up above white salmon to check out so hopefully ill see a buck like that

I hunt the west side of 578 and have killed some good animals in there,I drew A multi season deer tag this year,I have been bow hunting an area I know that has some good bucks in it,but recently have had little luck,deer have been few and far between and could not figure it out until we got this guy on are trail cam , so im going to start hunting a few miles to the east from this area.dont mind the date on the pic I forgot to reset it after i changed the batteries.

And I have to echo Benchleg's sentiments.  There's way to many cats out there, but I don't need to tell you that. 

I've seen tracks and other sign before, but they still make my skin crawl, thinking they're out there watching me.  haha

No seriously this is north of willard about 5 miles,the pics is on the east side of Oklahoma RD on natural bald ridge of this mountain, cam is facing the west, Do you hunt this area?

Kinda.  I spend most of my time up and around the 1840 Rd and Buck Creek Rd.

stevo there are big bucks up there just not like it use to be. cats cats and more cats, just part of the problem. back in the day you did not here a rifle shot in that unit from oct 31 until muzz season except during elk season. now with the late buck tags people can poach and a shot means nothing. they do not patrol it enough. we use to see 10-12 bucks in 3 days  and big ones its just not the same anymore.
