On the heels of the overwhelming reception of Issue #1 of Extreme Elk Magazine, and in alignment with some of the suggestions we received from you, we made a few improvements for Issue #2 that I think everyone is going to really like. We added a "Critical Gear" list - not the common list of all equipment, but the top 4-5 items that made an impression on the author during the hunt. We also added "Photo Details" to go along with the photos as well as a regular feature written by Bill Sansom titled "Wolf Tracks".
We have also received some recommendations for adding more "techincal" elk hunting features - "how to" or "what would you do" type content, in addition to our "Antler Tips" sections. What do you guys want to see? Give us a list of topics you'd like to see covered in a technical elk hunting section (how to scout for out of state hunts, calling scenarios, meat care in the field, early season tactics, hunting pressured elk, etc).
Extreme Elk Magazine is written and published by regular hunters and is focused on regular hunters, so give us your input. What do you want to see in Issue #3?
