I get the feeling that trappers and hunters fail to look outside of what was taught to them by society and their parents. Hunters are usually blue collar workers with limited education past high school. Meaning there is very little dialogue amongst themselves about what is right or wrong and they regurgitate the political propaganda fed to them by the division of wildlife another interested political parties. I doubt we will ever educate them because these types of people aren't interested in opening their minds.

I still can't bring myself to do the facebook thing. :dunno:
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!!"

That's right. We are a bunch of toothless, beer drinking, road hunting, inbred hillbilly rednecks that can't even balance thier check books. All becuase we are limited to a high school education. I say put the book smart a$$ in the woods for a week and see what happens.  Turn the tables and educate these book smart people what wolves really do.

Believe me ...they are whackies ...but the problem I have is that they are growing way faster than groups that are trying to intercept the issues ...Facebook has a huge impact on all issues ...even though some of us do not like it ....just have to be careful who you deal with ... I will print somemore conversion we had  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Believe it or not, we do give people like them the impression that we are like that. any guest could lurk on Hunt-Wa and see plenty of evidence of us not working together, in fighting, ranting, etc. They don't do that as much and they are able to grow numbers in leaps and bounds. We don't stand a chance against them until we learn to put our differences behind us, agree to disagree and band together in large numbers to defeat them. We our sometimes our worst enemies and they have very little trouble in outnumbering us.

For example: WDFW is/was required to accept to wolf lovers from anywhere in the U.S.. they received something like 65,000 letters or e-mails from folks that live in othr states and some of them have never seen a wolf or will ever seen a wolf. Yet, they helped get the irresponsible plan we are living with today enacted. We (hunters) may not have sent that many e-mails/letters from inside Washington.

They know they can defeat us and if they have their way, they get all hunting stopped someday....hell they are already starting in Thurston County.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

Thanks bow hunter for some insight.  I believe that most of them if not all of them feel this way and worse.

ignorance is the issue here, these people just don't understand what they are saying and not all of them are this ridiculous and that was a pretty big slam which I'm not sure it was completely intentional. I for one know that I am well educated past HS and I am still a hunter. I am a blue collar guy and I'm sure that I make as much or more than most of these activists do. So this just boils down to ignorance and discrimination. Well I guess that these people are angry too, just like we are. IMO we need to focus on getting to the people that really matter, we are never going to understand what goes on in the minds of the average activist.
