looking for decent pond in yakima valley
« on: April 20, 2012, 10:24:00 PM »
just thought id see if anyone knew of some decent ponds in yakima valley. I have an uncle with terminal lung cancer that has spread to neck and brain and hes been wanting to hit a pond. Id like to see him hook into a few of anything just know itll probably make him smile. It would have to be something with easy access and if possible not have to walk too far in. I thought id take advantage of the fact that sunday is suppose to be a nice day and get him out of the house with my brother and one of his sons. any ideas would be appreciated.thanxs

This is kind of late but you might want to try pond #4 off flint road  by Yakima Valley Highway if you haven't tried it before.  It has a dock where you guys could fish from, it has trout, crappie, bluegill, and bass.  I've caught crappie there last year when I tried fishing there my first time.

Any of the I-82 ponds should be fishable.  If you drive a little further, Fio Rito in E-Burg always has fish in it.
