Hound hunters and supporters need to call these four senators right now in regard to Senate Bill 1221.

Sen Wolk 916 651 4005

Make a brief statement like this "Hi My name is __________ I'm calling to encourage the senator to vote NO on Senate bill 1221 regarding hound hunting in California"

It literally takes two minutes to call them!!!  Please take the time to help out the CA hound hunters.

I hear what your saying but we will have no impact on what Cal. decides... I doubt they want to hear what other states think .... since they are the ones who started the whole thing about not hunting bear with hounds ...

Only one senator staffer asked me where I lived and I told him WA state.  I also reminded him about the impact non res houndhunters have in rural economies.  I'm sorry if you don't think it's worth your time, but I wish more non res hunters would have been calling when WA made it illegal.  It's worth a phone call.

I know what you mean bowhunter- I am just hopeful that mre calls to the senators will help in some way.  I know one of the expert witness' going there to testify for hound hunters and he's awesome.  There's a ton of biology behind this and more support than other states have had.  I guess we're learning to stick up for each other!

Done, two of them ask where I was calling from, I told them where and that if this passed I wouldn't be able to visit california on hunting vacations.

Made the calls, only one asked me where I was from.  I also told them I come down once or twice a year and spend a fair amount of money while I'm there bear hunting with my dogs.

Why not call.  Seems like there is a ton of out of state people making calls to our senators regarding wolves...  So we should do the same.   I think we might have found something we can use as well.  We just need to spread the word to the other states to do the same.

Sounds like California is going to join Washington and Oregon now doesn't it? That's a shame, I doubt Idaho will ever join the 3 other states but who knows, I hope that's never the case
