Well I didn't get to go yesterday, it was the first halibut opener I missed in I don't know how long

but hopefully I'll get one saturday while I'm waiting for my shrimp pots to fill up !!

hope to have some pics in a week, im going out for my first halibut trip with a buddy in a week. got a text from my buddy said he got a 25 pounder on the opener. cant wait to go but the drive from bozeman to port angeles is gonna suck

i honestly have no idea where or what area we will be in, my buddy is big into salt water he knows the where and how and i know what kind of beer to he likes. only info he gave me was his boat is moored at a port townsend marina for the duration of the season.

I fished the Westport opener yesterday, fishing was slow and the fish were small but we got our halibut and the weather was fan-fricken-tastic, so I can't complain.

Found 6 floats as well, never found one before in all my years of ocean fishing and found 6 in one day... Tsunami? I don't know

Hunted and scratched out a boat limit, nothing big, but some tasty chickens anyhow
