Mudflow Youth

The mudflow youth bull tag can be applied for with by a  westside tagholder regardless of weapon choice according to the regs. Dates are Nov 19-25. My assumption is if you apply with an archery tag you have to hunt with a bow or is a youth tag different and you can hunt with any weapon. Seems like a tough hunt with a bow with those dates but my boy wants to hunt the regular season with a bow so he will have an archery tag but would like to apply for the mudflow too. Tks nwhunter

I am positive it has to be hunted with the weapon listed on the tag.  That hunt may be tough for a kid with a bow since I think most other kids would be hunting with a rifle and blasting away at the same time your boy is trying to get within bow range. 

May be able to turn that into an advantage if you set up on an escape route though.

If he gets drawn for that unit  he will have to choose a weapon type when you pick up his tag, unless you've done so already?  If you have just have the dealer call in a tag exchange once you find out.  With only 7 tags given for that hunt it won't matter what he chooses to hunt with.  Good luck!!
