Another Springer Landed!
« on: May 11, 2012, 04:27:09 PM »
Got this one on wednesday. Went out early fished for about 3 hours and then WHAM my rod was bending in half. I love watching that. This one was about 14 pounds, and it was another hen. Tasted great too! Going out again tomorrow morning. And yes those are my pajamas....

Jo how much water are they running out of the spill ways? Do they have them all open?

All four are open. Good strong currents and plenty and I mean plenty are being caught. I have probably seen over 30 landed

Nice fish, one of my coworkers group of friends did well below the dam.  I'm probably going to try it on Sunday with one of my other coworkers.

Are those campers across the river? Is it a zoo down there? I'd like to fish it, but I hate neighbors so I've always stayed away. Too many bad memories when I was going to school on the wetside.

Thanks guys. Yes those are campers. I was hitting the dam when the counts were low like just 150 to 200 going over. I refuse to fish it now just because how crowded it is. It is a zoo. I got 2 out of the three trips I went and that was enough for me.

Smart man.

Dude people get so nasty over "their" Kings it pathetic. Guys just get pissed off when they see you hook up and wont move or do anything to help you land your fish, so I fish the early season and that's it for me.

Its not my favorite thing to do but i have fished the wet side before (crowded) So i might be able to stand elbow to elbow if it means a king. Catch rates going up with the bigger numbers i would imagine.
