How would this score B&C?
« on: May 31, 2012, 09:20:46 PM »
I got this Olympic Blacktail mount from my boss for my birthday.  It has been hanging in the lodge at Lochaerie Resort on Lake Quinalt since about 1927.  The leather background was an addition I think. It is tooled with oak leaves and acorns.

Any thoughts on how it would score?

I'd guess about 139''- 142''.   Awesome blacktail. Why did they take it down?

They moved to the resort to run it full time, so the main lodge was remodeled and became their new home.  They hung it up in one of the rental cabins but almost every quest asked that it be taken down, and some just took it down and put it in the closet. The head is slightly cocked to one side so it looks like it is eyeballing you. A little creepy to some but I love it!

I helped with the remodel. Heres a pic of the demo!

Check it out. The cabins look and feel like your grandpa's hunting cabin, great views, 5 min. drive up the road and you can be in the middle of the local elk herd. Cheap rates too!
