Definitely a three legged deer, theres no shadow for the missing leg. But a shadow for all the rest.
Nice looking deer.

How do you explain the second picture he posted, where you can clearly see all four legs?

last time i was up at peters taxidermy he had a cactus buck in there that was from the desert unit in wa. it was being refinished the velvet stayed on all year for some reason it never went hard horned (shot in November i think he said) cool buck though

This comes from a testosterone deficiency.  Most likely testicular damage.  They never get hard and just keep growing.  That is why B&C, P&Y or SCI will not except them in the record books.  But they are pretty cool.
"Shoot the spike".  It's much easier to pack out!

That's some serious head gear he's wearing!! The first photo he must have his leg up. I know that look any where, I've been busted many many times and the back leg is up like he wants to take a big step to get out of there or he's going to snort at me! LOL
