Nice photo's GrandpaRichard. Driving around yesterday I saw 10 pair's of Cinnamon Teal. 4 pair's in one place and 6 pair's in another (about a mile from the first bunch). Tomorrow should be excellent lighting in the morning for those pretty bird's. Remember the eagles and baby lamb's? Saw 4 pair's there on that road plus 7 group's of baby Honkers, 2 drake Woodies, some Mallard's, a drake Hooded Merganser and a drake wigeon.

LOVE that second pic, did you use a filter to get the clouds to pop like that?
If you dont do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do!

hrd,
Photography isn't really as hard as it looks! It just takes a little time and effort. :) If you lived around here I would help you out as much as I could. :)

Smith,
Nope. I don't use any filters on my lenses. The day was just as bright and colorful as what you see. I took that photo with the following settings:

Date Time Original   2012:05:24 00:24:21
Exposure Time   1/320
F Number   f / 10
Exposure Program   Manual
ISO Speed Ratings   100
Metering Mode   Spot
Flash   Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
Focal Length   40mm
White Balance   Manual white balance (sun setting)
Make   Canon
Model   Canon EOS 7D
LensInfo   4
LensModel   EF17-40mm f/4L USM

I did however adjust the Clarity and fill light, plus a tad bit of contrast and Blacks in Lightroom 3.5.

[/quHi Dick,

In fact I live in Marysville and would love to setup a time and place to have you educate me on my camera.  I own a Nikon 3100 and have been using the Auto setting and would love to learn much more.  After viewing your photos, and Boon's I just had to get involved.
