Heard our first fawn of the year calling for momma in the back yard this evening. Tried to get out and find it for some pics, but it quit calling before we got close.

Saw a doe and what looked like last years fawns on my way to work last week then Thursday night was taking out the trash after dark and spooked a deer right in my driveway. I think I'm going to like my new neighborhood.

Had some elk in the pasture this morning. The bulls gave a great start and the cows look like they are ready to explode!

This is a great time of year to hike and see these little ones just showing up. I watched a cow give birth one year. Saw some other little ones on the ground through a spotting scope.

Found this little guy while checking cameras Monday. He was 50 feet from the camera and I still didn't have any pics. I had my 2 year old son on my shoulders and almost stepped on him. Cute little fella for sure.

The Doe's at my cabin in Winthrop this weekend looked more like blimps and there starting to kick last years fawns away so they must be getting ready to drop.
