Gun Control
« on: May 31, 2012, 08:16:05 AM »
Here is a Seattle Times article [urlhttp://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/edcetera/2018325763_is_it_time_for_gun_control.html][/url].  I like the guys statement.  I went to college for a year after getting out of the Navy and wrote and essay for my english class on gun control.  This was back in the mid 90's.  I stated that it doesn't matter how strict you make gun control.  Criminals will always get guns period.  They can go across either border and get them.  Instead of wasting money on more gun control put that money into law enforcement and the judicial system.  Put away the criminals that us a firearm in a crime.  There is one statement in the article that the lady says that criminals don't care about using a firearm because they aren't affraid of the laws we have on the books now.  Also it does a comparison with Washington DC which has the strictest gun control in the country.  So what they are saying is that Seattle has no drug or gang problems at all.  Hey what about Chicago and New York City both have large crimes rates and both don't allow you to have a firearm within the city.

I might sound cynical but that guy yesterday who shot those people in the cafe did the court system justice my killing himself.  I believe we should bring back firing squads and public hangings.  Televise them on TV I bet that will get alot of attention good and bad I am sure but it might make the criminals think twice.

I have been putting it off for sometime since I moved here about 2 years ago but now I am putting in for my CPL becuase that will be the first thing that the gun control idiots will go after.  I know it is all fueled by the liberal media that puts the huge spin on it.

Ok enough of my rant.  I have been pissed about this since I watched the news yesterday afternoon.  I feel a little bit better.
