Yeah, can't draw anything with 0 points.  If you have 0 points, it means you didn't apply.  If you apply you have a point.

good point on the point!  LOL

I am just going to watch this thread going forward instead of checking.  Once they pop up, the word spreads like a wildfire!  I would much rather watch this website than the WDFW site.

I just got off the phone with Dave Ware the permit guy from wdfw. He thought the drawing should be done next week, towards the end of.  I also asked him about the rumor of the point system having changes next year, he said nothing is going to change next year but in the future they might have a percentage of the tags given out only to those with max points. Like for example, if a unit has 10 quality tags 7 would only go to those who have max points, or some kind of percentage.  I think that would be a good idea and yes even after I draw and have 1 point.

If they changed it to where 70% of the tags went to max points, there would be a mass exodus of people would drop out of the point system.  And what hope would that give to young hunters just starting the points game.  The way it is now at least there is a chance for them.  We don't need to create more ways to discourage people from the sport of hunting.  People with few points are already discouraged enough.  I could go along with 10 or 20% of the tags to max points holders, but not more than that.

I know the 70% was just an example - at least I hope it was.

If they change the draws in washington I know of a ton of people that would quit applying because they do not have max points. Id quit applying for everyting actually since I have no max points at all. Im sure they would lose some seriouse dough if they did that. I got 10 for all my oil tags , 12 for deer . Id have no chance if 70 % Went to max. But in all reality I would really care less and hunt out of state since it isnt that much more to go out of state for way better hunting than what is here in this dump of a state.
