WDFW wants to buy more?
« on: May 31, 2012, 01:24:13 PM »
A big chunk of forest bordering the north shore of Merrill Lake is up for grabs. Its a coalition aquisition as usu with RMEF and others. Also a big chunk they want between Klicitat and Goldendale. I guess this state does'nt know its broke. In the same section of the paper they talk about upcoming cuts.  :dunno:
Why the NFS isnt picking up the tab for the Merrill Lake peice is beyond me. Also on the front page was an article about the supermajority requirement for tax increases ruled by an activist judge of course to be unconstituional, even though you will recall the referendum was passed by the taxpaying voters of Wa. Better start practicing your bend over and spread it technique cause they are going to be digging deep.    :ass:

Yet they had no interest in buying the High Lakes in the Margaret...  simply amazing how far up their own asses they can be in Olympia....   :bash: :bash:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

I would like to point out something to many of you. Recreational property ONLY comes up for sale during hard economic times. Especially unique pieces like this one. Now i'm NOT gona carry water for the WDFW, but have you looked at all the remote"Hunting" property for sale right now? There seems to be plenty for fairly reasonable $$$. 4 years ago there was nearly ZERO! and if it did come available  it was much more expensive than now.  If the WDFW is going to buy land, they might as well do it now when the prices are better and the pieces are available.  :twocents:

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Buying with money/partnerships from the private organizations is one thing, but in one of the cases it is from a grant from the US Fish and Wildlife Service.  It is federal tax dollars not state.

I would like to point out to you that if i had been offered the opportunity to by a couple acres in there then i would be paying TAXES on that property to the county and state. Recreational property is such that is held by the private sector not gov'mt.
