He's messing with me.
« on: August 07, 2008, 09:16:29 PM »
How do you hunt a bear that has no pattern and comes in at all times during the day?

Here he is on the 23rd at 7:46pm at night.

Here I go on a couple hour quick hunt on the 1st.

Now he comes back on the 6th at about 11:30 am

He was gone for about a week and a half. My guess is that the clear cut to the left is full of berries that are about 2 - 3 weeks from being ripe. I wonder if he wonders off to a place with more food that is ready to eat.

He is definitely messin', I have a boar who I've been in a chess match with at my place, the last time he marked the exact tree in the exact spot where my camera had been on less than a week before.  :o

It looks like you will need to spend the whole day there...a few days in a row. :yike:
Are you just glassing or are you calling as well?

I'd wait for the berries to get ripe, he'll definately be there then.

In the good ole days, you would go out and look for a bear and kill it, not spy on him all the time. ;)
