Can you be drawn for both?
« on: June 06, 2012, 10:55:52 AM »
This may have been covered and I missed it but it's been a recent conversation and I don't know the answer. Can you draw your way to an any elk tag in a spike only unit?

If you put in the draw for a bull tag and an antlerless tag for elk, in a spike only unit, can you be drawn for both? I realize you can only harvest one animal but they are separate draws so I would assume that theoretically you could... thoughts?

Absolutely and it has happened.  I am putting in for the ghost point on one of them every year from now on.  I do put in for the quality bull though as I figure I probably will never draw them anyway.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Yes! With the 8 points I have for both Bull and Cow, I am ghosting my cow until I draw the Bull.
