Night fishing Question
« on: June 08, 2012, 12:07:08 AM »
Hey guys, I was wondering if it was legal to fish at night with lights in the water. I was watching some videos on youtube where guys would put lights that shine down in the water and fish for crappies. I love fishing for crappie, but I am not sure if this is legal or not in the state of washington. Any input would be great! Thanks again.

Back in my midwest days we loved fishing with lights. We bought a cheepo floaty thing for about 20 bucks. Styrofoam and sat right on the water. We would put it out and just chill for a while. Soon enough we would have bugs and baitfish. If you can, keep your float right on the edge or just out side it. The fish will often lurk on the edges.

We used to night fish all the time. Boat or dock

Lanterns over the water and with a direct beam, you can see fish swimming around some times.

Used to be an opening day ritual at Mineral Lake to start at midnight fish until we limited.
