Anderson Island Fishing
« on: June 17, 2012, 11:22:10 PM »
Im going to be on Anderson Island this weekend.  It looks like there are 2 lakes on the island that are good size.  Anyone fish them before.  No boat, so I will be banking it.  Was hoping to do some trout/ bass fishing.  Thanks.

I have fished joshphine (I think that's it) a lot. Its the one with the big public park on it. It is one of my absolute favorite largemouth lakes. Bluegill crankbaits in the timber (and there is lots of it) black worms, and soft plastic jerkbaits do great. If you have the chance to get out at night and throw a buzz bait you will have a BLAST! There are a ton of fish in there and some really nice ones to boot. The lake also holds brownies but we have only ever caught a couple of them. Ahhhhh I wanna go back... You will have fun.
