I'm so sorry for your loss  :'(. I dread the day I lose my pup and she's only 8 months old. But like stated above, the years spent are worth the loss, I'm sure your pup is in a better place

Really really sorry to hear. :( I lost my dog of 16 years last month and its tough. No one really knows what's its like until it happens to them. It truly is like losing a family member. I feel for you.

That is truely one of the toughest things to deal with.  They become family and are loyal to the core.  When you have a bad day they make it better.  When you get home they are the first to say hello. When you wake up they are right there. :( they are angels on our hips and they keep peace in our soul.  I feel your pain as i have lost a couple and they will never be forgotten.

Sorry for the loss. I'm sure it's not easy. Just remember all the happy times you had together, I'm sure they outweigh all the socks and shoes they tore through in their younger years.

As many others have stated, I too fear having to do the same thing in the coming years.

That is a great pic and a beautiful puppy. Maybe you could look into have a portait style painting done. Hang it up in a place where you will see it and be able to keep the memories close. As many have said....I'm sorry for the loss, it is a sad thing when part of the family is called up.

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers.  Today is going to be a rough one.   We picked Chloe up at the vet early this morning and laid her to rest.  We are going to pour a small concrete marker with her name on it.   I know thing will get better with each passing day.
