I got something in the mail today. Doesn't say which permit I drew just says dear successful permit applicant, and goes on talking about some access programs they are working on for my hunt. Interesting I got this before I got the official letter saying I drew the tag.
I got a notice like this for elk hunting access on Weyerhauser property, it was a postcard from WDFW, I got it on Saturday.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Got my postcard today.  How much could they save if they just sent the permit?

I don't mind the postcard and some people really seem to like it. It does provide some info that may be of help or interest to some hunters.

What I hate is that WDFW continues to pay too much for postage and does not use cost containment measures that are available to them.  A couple of years ago I mentioned this to the head of MH and he told me that it didn't matter because they get reimbursed for postage.  :dunno:
