Camper Repair Shop Needed
« on: June 27, 2012, 03:56:35 PM »
Need a recommendation on a camper repair shop in The Snohomish County area.  Willing to go as far north as Mount Vernon/ Burlington.  I've got a 97 Northern light that had a grey water tank leak a few years ago.  It finally caught up to me as the plywood under the black water tank is toast and so is a portion around the entry.  That will lead to linoleum being torn out and replaced and the sill of the door being repaired. :bash:  Got a few other cosmetic items inside and out that need to be fixed too.  I am short on spare time, so I will bite the bullet and take it to a shop.  Hopefully insurance will cover a good portion.

Let me know.  Thanks!
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

Maybe the manufacturer in Kelowna might be your best route.
My brother had a leak in his Arctic Fox.  Took at down to Pendelton, OR where he bought it.  The dealer there said "honestly, we can fix this by Northwood AF can fix it faster as they are properly tooled up and have the parts at hand."  They loaded his camper on a hauler and backhauled to the Manufacturer in LaGrande.  It was back in Pendelton in a week.  Brother was down his camper for a mere 3 weeks, most of which was his to and from Pendelton only on the weekends delay.  And it came in $1,800 less than the dealer was going to fix it for.

Just something to think about.  Besides, there's some killer trout fishing to be had in the Kelowna/Merritt BC area.  Pitch a tent in and take a couple days off.

It has crossed my mind - it would cost me 4 days to get it up and back.  I will ping them though.  It came from the dealer in Mt. Vernon way backwhen.

There is an RV repair shop in marysville, All RV repair 360-659-3912, they seem to do alot of leak damage repairs. I have never had them repair anything so just info, cant give a reference as far as quality...but they do insurance work.

I bought a trailer from Valley Rv (?) in Mt. Vernon. They seemed like straight shooters.  :dunno:

Heard good things about him I also work in Lake Stevens, not sure what his shop does if its just mechanical or all. Just does not hurt to have more then one shop to call.

Thanks for the info all. :hello:  I talked with the manufacturer, they don't do refurb work, so they had me talk to their dealer in Everett, Apache.  They seemed on top of everything, but unfortunately were already booked into mid August, which won't work with my time lines.  Same for Roy Robinson in Marysville.  I contemplated Blade in Burlington, as they were the original dealer for the camper, but decided to check out Steve in Lake Stevens per SMave's info.  Checks out OK with me,can do insurance work, and can have it back to me by the end of the month.  I drop it off on Tuesday.   I will give a report out when I get it back.

Thanks again.

An overdue update - I would say that i would not go the same route again.  Took 2 1/2 months to rap it up and I still question the time that was put into it (knowing what i saw on my multiple visits)     I would probably go through a dealer or larger shop if i had to do it again.  :twocents:
