ive got a custom ascent with a vengeance base for the 3rd axis adjustment.it is a rock solid sight.awesome customer service.i have only one complaint.when adjusted down to 90 or 100 yards the pin is at such a depth that u can see alot of the width of it.i got over it,just was a little distracting at first.super bright pins in low light n the photocromatic shell keeps the pins from starbursting in bright light.

    I got the 5 pin ascent last year for novelty shoots and its been a blast. I wont move it for hunting but we had a 134 yard shot in camp and its dang easy to whoop the boys at camp when you have a pin for the long shots... I also got it so I could practice out to a 100 yards in the summer. It makes them 40-50 yrd shots seem like a duck....
    Its been a rugged sight so far, as said before, the pins are nice and bright when need be and the photo cover over the fiber optics also make it nice and dim in bright daylight. I dont think you can go wrong with one

Im getting 1 but can not decide between the 1 or 3 pin

Sometimes wonder if a 1 pin would be to much movement adjusting it if you got a bull coming in .

How fast is your bow shooting?  I have a single, horizontal pin on my BG Ascent.  On my Athens Ibex I was shooting 286 ftps.  I would practice with it set at 30 yards and shoot different ranges from 10 - 40 yards.  For 20 yards I aim about 6" low and for 40 yards I aim 8" high.  For me anything past 40 yards has to be an absolute ideal shooting situation and I figure I'll have a couple of seconds to adjust the sight if need be.

I have a 4 pin ascent and love it. I personally think that a single pin handicaps the shooter in most hunting situations. Go with 3 or 4 pins.
for a 3d or target only rig single pin mover is more practical. There is usually a lot of difference from 20-40 yards and I wouldn't want to have to hold over or under 8-10 inches on a buck or bull because I can't adjust.

I am in the process of getting ready to buy a hoyt spyder turbo i think i am going to go with the 3 pin ascent from the feed back i have gotten on this sight nothing but great reviews
