Change your offerings and go at least 5 to 6 foot leader if sidedrifting. too short and the fish will feel you too soon! A longer leader lets em chomp a bit.

First run is dieing down. March will be your best bet as the second runs comes in.

i'd go atleast 10 on the leader with no more than 36 in length, red oranges and pinks work fine.

I fish 10# main and 8# leader and do well.

   I drop to 8 & 6 in the summer.  I run an ultralight rod though.
