Just ordered...*Elk101 calls are In*
« on: July 23, 2013, 04:07:56 PM »
Just ordered my first set of Elk diaphram calls!  :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: Super excited to get practicing for next year. How hard are diaphram calls to learn once you get them for all you elk hunters out there.. ?

Ordered the  Bully Bull Grunt Tube, Temptress cow call, All-Star, Raging Bull, and Mellow Yellow Momma.
I should be good to cover just about everything no?  :dunno:

Yes those calls should cover it. Learning to call is only about 25% of the game. Knowing WHEN to call and which sound to make is the other 75%. There are lots of good videos online, calling seminars to attend that will help a ton. Nothing beats experience and time in the elk woods. The last two weeks of September are magical.

Half the battle with theh calls are getting used to them in your mouth with out gaging  :puke:

Once you get past that, its all about learning "how" and most importantly, "when" to call.
