It’s just nice to move it around, the cheap ones seem to lose their wheels pretty fast. I could always just pick it up and move around without wheels but they are pretty convenient.  I would expect the cost would go up a bit, it would need some heavy duty wheels to support the weight of the metal.

Would you want it to be on the cart permanently? If so, I would worry about the heat affecting the wheels. I would think the cart would haft be separate??

hmm, not a bad idea to have them separate. The ones on my pit now are attached permanently and they haven’t melted yet, I put sand or dirt in the pit first.

You could just tip on edge and use a dolly, but it would be more fun to design some wheels  :)
I am pouring a patio soon and am trying to figure out how one of these will fit into the layout!  has anyone used a gas flame with these?

Picked mine up from Erk yesterday.   Everyone who has seen it loves it.   Didn’t get a fire going yet, but I’ll post a photo as soon as I do.

I stole the idea from another forum member.   I used lava rock as the filler to get it up to the level I wanted.

What’s happens to the lava rock when you clean out the ashes?🤔

I’ve only had one fire so far.   I can say the wood burned extremely well leaving only white ash and a couple of small chunks of wood unburned.

Looks identical to my setup. Yard even looks like mine  :chuckle: Looks great. We sprayed high temp black bbq paint on ours tho. Without it it seemed like it would rust more. Catches the eye quicker as well. Kinda pops out at you entering the yard.

Lol, was wondering the same thing.  A layer of oven brick would make cleanup much easier.

Anyone near erk444 that might be coming to the Spokane/C'dA area in the next few weeks that might have room for one of these beautiful fire pits?  If so, let me know and I'll order one.  I got a PERFECT spot for it!!  :)
