Sorry, I didn't realize that shooting one broadhead and one fieldtip at a spot while tuning was too much. Ill be sure to check with huntwa before I shoot any more arrows to make sure I am doing it correctly.... this ain't my first rodeo and I'm not new to archery or shooting arrows believe it or not....  :bash:

I've committed this archery faux pas many times myself.  I did, however, learn that the correct sequence is BH first and then FP.  Don't ask me how I figured this out :rolleyes:

Best thing to do is invest in a set of sites that allows you to swap sites from target settings to hunting setings.  Don't skimp on the cost, the old saying go  ( you get what you pay for ) .  Good luck. :)

I was just referring to shooting broadheads at the same spot on the target. I don't think anyone was implying you didn't know what you were doing. I think it was more or less (or at least for me it was) a teaching lesson for new guys. Now the BH then the FP is a great idea. Never thought of that.  :tup:

What he means is just as this picture shows, It has multiple POI "Points of impact" targets, As long as you can hit the small circle everytime, each in the following target one after another, you should be pretty on point. You dont need to group arrows side by side and risk damaging eachother. Its way to expensive to practice that way..

If you can hit each circle back to back, your gold.

I try to get within a 6 inch circle at 60+ yards. I'm usually happy with that. 60 yards with a small target is kinda rough IMO. Im still working on propper trigger techniques for my release.

Its all about the surprise of the shot, I've had too many problems with target panic from anticipating the shot and lost / broke arrows because of it.
