Review: Trophy Ridge Static Stabilizer

I wanted to do a few reviews this year. I think trophy ridge hit it out of the park with this stabilizer! I love the removable weights to tune it to the bow to make it balance well for each shooter. It comes in a couple different sizes and I opted for the longer model "9" and this has been the perfect fit for my bow. It eats vibration very well and is the prefect all around length for hunting and target shooting. I use my hunting bow for both and prefer a longer stabilizer then most choose to hunt with. This is the prefect fit for me and I think if you are in the market check them out!

I think the TR Static and the Sims Modular (Similar in function) are the very best out there right now.  Unfortunately they are hard to find around these parts.  I know the 2013 Sims Mod made a huge difference in the feel of my Martin Alien.  And I've had a Static on the Motive 7 with equal results.  These extreme pre-stressed limbs, low stretch cables and high performance cams on todays bows are amazingly quiet and shock free.  But nearly all of them I have played with rated at over 330 fps seem to have some lasting high harmonic hum/vibration at the shot.  These two vibration dampening stabilizers really knock that hum down well.  Even when shooting without a rubber or plastic grip.  I just don't get that kind of result from big heavy dumbbells.

Agree 100% with you there Bryan. I was pretty pleased to see a few at the sportsmans warehouse in Portland. It will take a lot to get me to switch over to a new stabilizer. This one has everything I could ask for and preforms very well.

That price is going to be hard to beat too!  That's an insane amount of performance improvement for that price!

I have had the TR static since it came out and love it and for the price not sure there is a better out there..  I also went with the 9".

Agree coop. Double J they run around 40.00 right now and they are well worth it. I have 100.00+ stabilizers laying around and the static is what I am running I love this stabilizer and it will take a lot to get a new one on my bow

I have a hybrid.  I have a TR Shockstop Lite screwed into a modular node off of a limbsaver modular stabilizer.  My old bow came with just the node, not even the base part.  Really ghetto.  This works but I say that not knowing exactly what a real stabilizer is supposed to feel like.

I am pretty sure I picked mine up for $29 but can't remember now.  I know I thought it was priced wrong when I opened the package and saw the quality and all the options to get it dialed in for my bow..
