Time to break out the popcorn-
The gun you carry is more important than the one you left at home- but practice, practice practice with whatever it is you decide on.
Have a good selection to choose from- Walther PPS 40 S&W is my latest carry..wife prefers her Shield in 9mm.
For what its worth- bought the PPS as a option to the Shield for others to try out- most prefer the Shield- some ladies like the Sig 232. None opt for a revolver in any flavor once they shoot the Shield. Next run gun will be a Walther PPQ with the paddle release (non M2)..
Good thread/advise with a no nonsense approach-
Information below is from-
http://www.getoffthex.com/topic/guns-and-gear-i-recommendThis is what I recommend. Is there other good gear than this? Yes, of course. This is not about me "liking" or "disliking" something. This isn't the 5th grade. This is the stuff I have found to be THE BEST the last 16 years training 18,000 people that have fired 18,000,000 rounds. If you are looking for bargains this isn't your list.
For you folks that are taking it personal that your gear isn't on my list no Warrior would EVER invest his ego in his gear. Never. Some of you are acting very childish. Make your OWN list! Make a list of trainers and leave me off of it.
I can back up every single thing I say from my years conducting training as well as my own personal tactical experience. Am I ever wrong? YES. Keep in mind how my resume stacks up against yours before you start bashing. You are allowed your opinions and I am allowed mine.
No order of preference unless individually noted.
