how high a pickup mileage before you trade in?

So my old man kept cars till about 140k, and pickups till about 150k.. and while we have all been in places where we didnt have a choice about mileage, we just drove what we could barely afford.. how long (mileage wise) do you try to keep a vehicle before you trade it in or get something newer?

I always get rid of them by the time they reach 120k. Don't know why, but I do. My buddies Toyota has 326k miles on. Second engine.

Today's cars and trucks go so much further than they used to that I don't worry about it unless I want something new or different. Good maintenance and better production is producing some crazy mileage.

250k + on the old 95 Dodge 12v
three auto transmissions (one was my bad) some front end steering work, rebuilt drive lines
that's about it.
I'd like to trade the old girl in, but the cost of new trucks keeps me happy with her

208,000 pn my F150. Just got a transmission rebuild and new back axle. Talk about a money pit last year, but it's good, now. Have a Chevy cavalier with over 300,000 on it, most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

I've got 158K on my 1994 Chev Z71 and it still runs great, replaced the starter and fuel pump have been the only big items. Did a break job at 115K with 50% left and did the clutch at 125K. and it still has the original antifreeze when checked it's still good to -5 or so. So not this year unless I win the loto.

My truck has 232k on it and is 23 yearss old.
Now my car I traded in with 120k but the oil pan was almost rusted threw and I had metal chunks in the tranny I think so I dropped it before it went bad

Almost 200,000 on the old 7.3 Ford, new axle seal, water pump, alternator and batteries. Hope she's good for another 200,000. New truck prices scare me!
Of course I'm sure I'll need a clutch soon.

I like new vehicles so I usually get rid of them around 100k-120k.

I like to spread out mileage, I have 12 vehicles 7 of them have over 100k miles. They quit adding up miles very fast but staying up on maintenance gets to be a nightmare.
