Have my muzzleloader tag. Has anyone hunted the Ringold unit?

I haven't but I do know it is about 99.9% private land.

My friend got a big doe from the Hanford Reach Nat. Monument last year in the early muzzle season.

I have...once. This probably won't help, but here goes. I went down to a boat launch and hunted right along the columbia in the russian olives. A guy I know told me to go there, but I didn't see anything. I know guys who have seen and missed bucks east of the powerlines. They said they were hunting the sage flats that bordered some alfalfa fields??? Sorry, this is crappy info, but its all I got. And when I was there, I saw TONS of people and the game warden had only checked two does and a spike all season.

The majority of that unit, and nearly all of the sage that fishunt247 mentioned, burned a year or two ago. There were some good bucks in there though, to bad about the fire.

It sounds like we'll need to check it out this year at some point to maybe go next year. Thanks for all the info. :)

A few buddies have hunted it this year. LOTS of hunters even during the weekdays and deer are few and faw between.
