Close enough, a scouting trip is in order.  Pictures required!

Congrats to your son - and you - should make for some good memories.

Shouldn't have a problem finding goats up there. Have fun. Hope you're in shape!

Dan-O, I also drew the Mt Washingtopn goat tag, but the A. Have you talked to Jeff Skriletz, with WDFW?  He mentioned they will be flying the area either the last week of Aug or the first week of Sept to count the goats and to call him then and he will have more info about the location of the majority of the goats.  Trying to keep us awat from the hikers I believe.  How old is your son?

Yes, I talked to Jeff.     Seemed like a super guy - wanting to help us and keep peace with hikers.

My son is 20.   He's in great shape.   Big frame, but runs 5-6 day a week.

His father is a different story.........   although I've lost 35 pounds.   I have a semi-bum ankle.......

And now for the hard part:

My kid is 20, and about to head back for his Jr. year at Montana State.

He's working an internship this year and they just invited him on a 10 day trip to China......

Guess right where the trip falls.................     :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

The boy has a tough choice.

Obviously , he wants to go on the goat hunt.

But he absolutely LOVES the company he's interning with and wants to go to China with them.

I'm sick.....   He has to make a decision pronto.

Hey Dan-o,

I know your son, I was just talking with him Sunday about his goat tag and giving him a hard time about thinking about not hunting!

Tough choice for sure. You have a great kid.
