Took bow out for the first time since August
« on: October 28, 2014, 11:34:00 AM »
Went to the range yesterday afternoon with the wife and pup.  She had to test out her new strings.  Awesome looking out it the daylight.  Thanks Rock Creek Archery .  Also fletched up new arrows for here and I.  I let the wife let some arrows fly while I contend with our puppy nose to the ground.  I then pull my bow out and go to know an arrow.  I look on my fall away rest and it is sitting side ways.  I am like to rest is broke.  Started looking it over and saw the one of the allen screws fell out of where the arrow rest sits on the rotating pin.  That sucks.  I did tighten the one screw down and straighten it to shoot a couple arrows but the rest kept moving.  So I let my wife shoot the rest of the time.  Going to see Denton this week to get it fixed.  Might decide to go back to a whisker biscuit.  Oh yeah that is a Rip Cord rest.

I don't think I will do it till after the late season.  Don't really want to change what works right now and what I am used to.
