I found that my stainless NW edition Optima likes to rust in the break-open hinge release  area causing it to freeze in the closed position. Even with applying various oils and preservatives. I now store it torn down and only assemble it for hunting. Other than that it is a deer killing machine.

I just picked up a new Traditions Vortex North West Magnum 30" barrel. It's a tack driver 300gr Traditions smackdown sst w/120gr t 7 powder. It's the ez'est muzzleloader to clean. The breech plug removes by hand, even after 5 shots. $449.00
