Moose Tactics for a beginner
« on: January 26, 2009, 10:44:35 PM »
Hello, everyone just had a few questions on moose shedding.  I'm a beginner for moose sheds but not Whitetail.  I grew up in the rolling hills of some monster whitetail deer. (Iowa).  But moved to the east side of washington and I'm in search of a moose paddle.  Any pointers for a beginner.  I know they like to hang out in dense cover in clearcut areas that have been replanted. They eat small limbs and trees. Like I said I'm new.

I live near Spokane. Any good places to go?  Any local people to talk to on where to go in the area?

Any info. is very helpful Thanks.

SO, I'll clue fungi in.. Huntnphool had a once in a life time tag for moose and hunted his heart out trying to find a moose of grand proportions.  :rolleyes:He and his friends made several trips over there from across the state and had a few moose that chased them back to the truck too.  :chuckle: On the last day in the last few minutes he found the grand daddy and sloothed him with a sharp stick and bow. BUT the monster had dropped his horns somewhere  :'( and he hasn't had a chance to go back and find them.. BUT we know he will, he's that kind of a guy :chuckle: SO If he seams a little ....edgy. ...well we hope you will understand ;)
