I tell you what...if that isn't the zoo, I would not have taken the time to shoot a picture!  Unless it was about a 1200mm zoom.   ;) :)

Here's a few more pics too. It was great at the zoo yesterday...pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. The lions actually made me a little nervous, the female especially had a look in her eye. She was "mad dogging" us. Ya know, when a dog gets that look in his eye where you can tell he his thinking about something he shouldnt, but just hasnt decided to try it yet...I know the moat was there, but still...

Even one lady behind us, wouldnt get close at all...looked kinda nervous herself and left quickly...she was with a baby.

Saw some Lions and Tigers up close at a show in San Diego a few years ago.  I had no idea how huge those cats are.  Ole boy sticking his head inside their open mouth is not an illusion.   Absolutely amazing to see up close.
