Congrats to all of the lucky one who drew OIL tags this year. I hsd the Alladin A tag last year si If anyone wants info on the area, pm me and I will share all I know. I had the spring bear tag in 49 deg n and saw moose and plenty of sign so I can be of a little help help there.  Good luck everyone, I'm rooting for you.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

I finally drew the moose OIL late 49 unit, getting pretty antsy to get going.  Been scouting and have only seen one small bull so far.  Wolves moved into my main area and have been hitting the moose really hard, three dead moose, (one bull, two cows), seen this past week.  Looked like all killed by wolf packs.  Buddy of mine muzzleloader elk hunting close to same area I was going to hunt had wolves howling all night long close to camp while they tried to sleep.  Sucks that after all these years of putting in I am not going to hunt where I have historically seen great Bulls.  Oh well, keep moving and scouting.

Thats how it is now man.  Moose are getting hammered by wolves all over the ne corner.  Its pretty damn sad.  Ive had a wolf pack pretty much following me around for my deer hunt this last week, driving me nuts.  Historically a great moose area, but been seeing more dead moose than live this year.  Cant believe i havent seen a single moose all week.  This is really getting old.  I see a grim future for moose hunting in wa, and i have no expectation of ever drawing an oil tag the way things are going, so im gonna go big on the raffle next year.  Gotta get while the gettins good
