No bull tag for me with special and 17 points.
The wife and my two buddies drew cow tags though. Let the hunt prep begin!
wow, you must be going for a premium tag I take it?  The point creep must be getting real?!

I tried for unit 30. Tough tag to get.

Its my 2nd year in a row of point creep holding me back . Even a general tag taking 6 points in Wyoming is wild.

Lets go back when i was drawing a general tag every other year.  Guess i had my hay day. Had my last I think.

And you could almost count on a h tag every hear, g tag every two or three. Ah yes, life was better before the greed of the state game departments.

Three of us drew cow elk licenses in the leftover draw. We'll be hunting the first week of October. Possibly going back again later in the season sometime if we have unfilled tags, since the season goes to the end of January.

We returned Sunday from 10 days in SW Wyoming. Our group filled our 3 cow tags and also 4 antelope buck tags.
We witnessed some amazing rut action! Saw around 30-35 bulls in 4 days.
My wife took her cow out of a herd of 35 elk with 10 being bulls.
335 yards shot with her .270 Win. Using 150 grain Nosler Partitions.
All 4 of us vowed to go back and do this hunt again as soon as possible. It was a blast!
