Yes, I am down to one of them now - had two at one time a fellow forum member purchased one of them.  They are very good rifle.  I ended up moving over the Knight Ultra -Lite.

This the one that I still have... I ordered it with the composite thumbhole instead of the wood laminate stock

What's different from the disc extreme other than the stock?

I'm the guy to whom Sabotloader, bless his soul, sold his other Mountaineer back in 2014.  It has taken five deer for me since then.  It is an awesome gun, with accuracy not far behind a lot of centerfire rifles, even without a scope.  The trigger is extremely precise, breaking very cleanly.  It is a relatively long and heavy rifle, but that has never been too much of a downside. 

Following Sabotloader's recommendation, I fitted the gun with a Williams peep sight.  The front bead is a red fiber optic, and we use a six o'clock hold.

What's different from the disc extreme other than the stock?

The Mountaineer barrel is an inch longer, not really a big deal.  And the Mountaineer series of rifles have tighter specs than the Extreme. Which should relate to you getting a bore diameter that is very close to the same top to bottom.  The Mountaineer comes with the Timney target trigger versus the Extreme's 2 screw trigger.

Either rifle is quite capable of shooting great with many different loads and projectiles.
