My son drew youth Yakima north cow tag, I scouted out the Manashtash this year for archery and though this would be an easy hunt. I never knew that the Manashtash turned into a city during modern firearm, we didn't see a singe fresh track or any animals in 2 days of walking off the beaten path. seems like all the elk have completely left the area. I am military and I am taking leave from tomorrow till it ends this Sunday and plan to be in the Manashtash if anyone has any intel or willing to point me and my son in the right direction it would be appreciated. This is the first year I have hunted the east side so I am not familiar with where they go in this area when the pressure hits. He can hunt the Manashtash, Umtanum, little naches, and the taneum.
