.300 win.mag ammo ?
« on: November 06, 2017, 06:06:00 PM »
Just got a sako A7 .300 win.mag and looking to start finding the honey bullet ! My .270 WSM took a lot of shooting and finally found that it's a lights rifle shooting 140 accubonds . I'm not a reloader yet but looking to see if anyone is shooting the same rifle and I might save some time on weights and brands !
Thanks Jake

What twist is the barrel?

My .300wm shoots 180 Accubonds and 185 Berger's well. I've only really shot factory ammo out of it lately. Nosler Custom Ammo with the accubonds and the HSM stuff loaded with the Bergers.

It's got a 1-11" twist with a 24" barrel

My tikka 300 has the 1-11 twist and loves 180grs going a little over 2900fps. I think that would be a good place to start

Not sure of the twist in my barrel but 180 Grain Federal Premium Nosler Partitions is all I shoot in my .300
