I wouldn't go bigger than 8x, maybe a mono for west side.

Bow hunting is far less enjoyable when you have all kinds of crap strapped to you.

I would go to Cabelas and just try out some glass. Don't buy online without testing it.

I honestly thought a lot of the really expensive stuff was overrated compared to the mid-high stuff.
