Can am vs Polaris
« on: June 23, 2019, 12:06:55 PM »
Looking for last minute Pros and Cons. I am pulling the trigger on a new side by side this coming week. I have narrowed it down between the Polaris XP 1000 Ranger Northstar and the Can am XT 1000 HD cab. With all the accessories I want being equal the Can Am is 10,000 dollars less. I  also really like the Rotax engine knowing it is used in experimental aircraft.
I already have a Kubota RTV with a cab that I like but our new hunting lease is in Grizzley county I am wanting something faster then 20 mph.

So here is my thought.  Up front i own a Honda Pioneer 1000.  Polaris is the pioneer of sxs can't beat them.  Assessories galor for them.  Total enclosed cab the best of the roll over protection system.  Cab seals over other manufacturers the best.  Both Polaris and Can Am have solid performance in the engine department.  I was looking hard at the Can Am HD.  I ultimately went with the shaft driven Honda.  Plus I have family that have Honda's.  My choice between the 2 would be the Polaris because if my past experience with Polaris and it being a MN company.  Enjoy it took me almost 2 yeara for me to pick mine.

I have a 2013 Can-Am  Commander 800 sxs.  Bought it brand new and still use it A lot.  We have had very very very few problems if any with this machine   Only issue is belt drive, have toasted several belts, all user fault:abuse  :chuckle:

What are you going to do with the old Kubota?
Lead em if they're running.

You mean my RTV doesn't have a bear safe food storage rating?   :dunno:  :yike:
