Big-game Record Book
« on: August 07, 2019, 01:15:12 PM »
Would anyone mind taking pictures of several pages in their big-game record book for blacktail and mule deer and either post or PM them to me? It would be great to get the entire section for blacktail and mule deer but that would be a ton of pictures. I'm trying to figure out the worst counties for all western states. Thank you.

Have you checked any libraries to see if they may have copies of them?

Why are you trying to figure out the worst counties?

I just found out that B&C and P&Y have online version so I purchased a 1-yr membership to both.

A project.  Not sure what the outcome will be.

you can have all my editions hard copy LOL.  Once I figured out 75% of guys who killed good animals never put them into the book :chuckle:  Record books are neat to look at......that's all......they are not even close to accurate.

   :yeah:
That book is very inaccurate and full of “fudged” entries.

I know we have had around 20(give or take over the years) that folks have recommended we get scored or entered, some going back 40-50 years and more, I know my dad had 8 or 9 alone that folks say would have easily been records, sad fact is most all were given away by my great grandfather, literally hundreds of them hang in my great grandpas shop rafters for years. No one in the family wanted to deal with them, they told him to donate them, they "would get more". None were even scored, the most I ever seen done was a measurement now and then just to see how wide it was. I my self have a couple of my dads and have kept a few of my own, they are not the biggest by any means but the ones I have kept hold very special memories, a lot have been donated to wedding venues, the Boy Scouts and folks who make things out of them. Seeing how hunting has become now in the Methow, I wish I would have kept every single one of them, all I have now is old pictures scattered amongst family members and as long as my mind stays sharp, a whole lot of memories.
