Quick review: Silencerco Harvester 300
« on: October 19, 2019, 03:09:38 PM »
Got it after a 10 month wait. Cost was $600 plus the stamp. Very light can and will work from 22 up to 300 wm. Not full ato rated so gotta watch temps. Various thread adapters available for different threads. Easy as can be. Only tried it on the 25 06 Kimber as that is one of two Kimbers I have with the same thread pitch. 6.5 man bun is number two. Sound suppression is very good and recoil further reduced. I shot a few without any ear protection and yes it's still kinda loud but nowhere near without it or especially nowhere near it with the break on. Regarding Silencerco as a company they were great to deal with. I screwed up and used the wrong zip on my thread adapter order and it got sent back to them. Once there they turned it around next day air at no charge even though it was totally my screw up.

First group had a point of impact shift 10 inches low but group stayed nice and tight. 100 yards,  115 gr berger, 25-06.

@Pnwrider  Not fully sure what you mean. Break down as in disassembly? Not that I know of but no reason to do so. I'll be toting it this weekend and knowing that if i get a shot I won't get my bell rung from the noise is very comforting.

Yup.. .moved impact point pretty far.  Have not tested other guns but this one is a very light profile barell....add 10 ounces and length and I'm not suprised.
