17 year old 210k mile vehicle here. I’d love to buy a new truck. I feel like I’m rolling the tow truck dice every time I head out but it is what it is. I guess I feel like it’s a cumulative number of smart financial decisions that allow people to be able to buy new trucks. Sure there are some dumb decisions made with new vehicles - along with every other major purchase. I’m far from financially smart. At some point when I get all the other things done that I have to spend real money on, maybe I’ll buy a new truck. Until then I’ll keep driving my beater.

I am one of those guys who buys a truck new or low miles and drives it till no one can make it drive any longer. I give little thought to it’s options except, must be 4 x4, have radio, and auto trans.
Cap on back.
I am good. I have driven every make over the years except diesel, I hate diesel.

My last truck had 170 K on it when a gal ran a light and put it down for good.
I took the insurance and bought the same truck Nissan Frontier brand new in 2012. It now has 130 K.
And runs great.
I keep up on maintenance and if I want something more modern option I just add it. Like usb chargers or a ra$io that Bluetooth’s my phone. Drive it till it ca t be fixed and than decide. Hoping it’s the last truck I will need. :dunno:
